What Are Solar PV Panels?
Solar photovoltaic (PV) panels are solar devices that convert sunlight into electricity using photovoltaic cells. These panels, often referred to simply as solar panels, are made up of multiple silicon-based solar cells which are interconnected within a protective material such as glass and aluminium.
When sunlight strikes the surface of a solar PV panel, a flow of direct current electricity is generated. This electricity is then collected by the electrical contacts within the panel and routed through wiring to an inverter, where it is converted into alternating current (AC) electricity suitable for use in homes, businesses, or the electrical grid.
The solar PV panels we install come in various sizes, shapes, and configurations to suit all needs, whether for installation on a residential property or a large scale commercial project.
